A visual design project explores the visible and hidden patterns of dictatorship to find a connection between
aesthetics and knowledge from different perspectives and in different visual design approaches.
Dictatorship is a topic that was widely discussed in the past and recently not only among professionals but also among people as it has a direct effect on people’s lives and others.
Dictatorship usually comes with denial from the executors and their supporters so the goal was tackling this topic in a sarcastic way which can help to highlight the important terms of dictatorship.
Here comes the idea of creating “Dictatorship for beginners” as a reference can be used by both people who are against dictatorship so they can identify what their leaders are doing matches the definition of dictatorship and also by dictators -themselves- to give them ideas about what to do and the more they use dictatorship, the more people will be able to spot them.
– A pictogram system using main keywords and dictatorship design attribute to represent dictatorship main terms.
– An A7 booklet using those pictograms including some key informations about dictatorship.
– Animation using the pictogram system to depict the topic of dictatorship
